SCAM ALERT: THE ALABAMA ANIMAL ADOPTION SOCIETY WILL NEVER CALL YOU AND DEMAND PAYMENT TO RETURN A LOST PET. The Alabama Animal Adoption Society has been made aware of scammers calling individuals with lost pets and demanding payment using electronic services such as Venmo to get their pets back. The scammers say things like “your pet was seriously hurt and we paid to save their life,” then request money. This is a scam. You can verify any calls you receive from the Alabama Animal Adoption Society by sending us an email to aaas2808@gmail.com. Someone will respond within a business day and confirm if the call was legitimate.

SCAM ALERT: It has been observed on Facebook that there is a fraudulent Facebook page identifying themselves as the Alabama Animal Adoption Society. This fraudulent site uses our address and mission statement to mislead visitors. However, the remaining contact information is misleading. ON THE CORRECT FACEBOOK PAGE IN THE INTRO, THE ALABAMA ANIMAL ADOPTION SOCIETY’S EMAIL IS AAAS2808@GMAIL.COM AND WEBSITE IS ANIMALADOPTION.ORG.

SCAM ALERT: When searching on PayPal, more than one Alabama Animal Adoption Society contacts may appear. The correct contact is just listed as “Alabama Animal Adoption Society” without any ‘@’ symbols or lost spacing like ‘AdoptionSociety’.
